Explain the agreement before taking payment

Set out who provides the tuition, lesson duration, price, payment timing, pickup arrangements and what happens if either party cancels.

For block bookings, explain expiry, unused hours and refunds. A website summary should not contradict the contract the pupil receives.

Handle changes consistently

Keep a record of agreed changes and tell pupils promptly when a vehicle, instructor or appointment changes. Avoid promising test readiness or appointment availability that you cannot control.

Make concerns easy to raise

Provide a clear contact and complaints process. Explain how learner information and any recordings are used. The voluntary ADI code can inform good practice, but it is not a substitute for applicable consumer and data-protection law.
