Separate teaching time from everything else

A “30-hour course” may describe something different at each school. Record in-car teaching, independent study, shared sessions, assessment and test-day use separately.

For an intensive course, ask when the teaching will happen and how it relates to an actual test booking. “Test included” needs a clear explanation of who books, who pays the official fee and what happens if no suitable appointment is available.

Make the conditions visible

An introductory block may exclude pupils who have already failed a test or booked one elsewhere. Prices sometimes change by pickup area, time of day or transmission.

Get the cancellation window, expiry date and unused-hours refund conditions before paying. Save the quotation with its date; a website crawl date does not establish that the offer is still valid.

Use a comparison that preserves differences

The package tool shows the effective teaching rate and known extras. It flags missing inclusions instead of assigning them a zero cost. Contact the provider for anything that remains unclear.
