Use GOV.UK for a Great Britain test and nidirect for a Northern Ireland test. Keep your licence details and booking reference private.
The 2026 GB changes place booking and management with the learner and restrict changes. Check the current rules before paying any third party claiming to find or control a test for you.
Discuss the appointment with your instructor
Confirm that your instructor can provide the car on that date and at that centre. A booking is not evidence that you are ready, or that a particular instructor is available.
Moving a GB test between centres follows the official permitted-centre relationships. A map’s nearest-centre calculation does not override those rules.
Understand the waiting data
The statistics on Driving Sorted describe published historical measures. They do not show live appointments. A centre’s median completed wait and its forward-availability measure answer different questions.
