Compare the same working assumptions

A franchise fee can cover different combinations of car, servicing, insurance, branding, administration and leads. List each included cost before comparing it with an independent setup.

Use paid teaching hours, working weeks and realistic cancellations in the calculator. A busy diary is not the same as billable time or profit.

Examine lead and territory promises

Ask how pupil enquiries are allocated, what counts as a lead, whether work is guaranteed and how disputes are handled. Record any territory restrictions, minimum fees or exclusivity.

Compare control over prices, pickup areas, working hours and the choice of car.

Read the exit terms

Look at notice periods, early termination charges, vehicle return conditions and any training refund linked to remaining in the franchise. Seek suitable independent advice before signing a material contract.
