Count the time outside lessons

Travel, diary changes, vehicle care, record keeping and pupil messages all take time. A timetable filled edge to edge can leave little room for delays or proper breaks.

Use working hours and paid teaching hours as separate measures when planning income.

Design a manageable schedule

Group pickup areas where practical, leave time between lessons and review whether evening or weekend work is sustainable for you. A directory should reflect the areas you actually want to serve.

Find support when you need it

Professional associations can provide peer discussion and business support. For persistent physical or mental-health concerns, seek appropriate professional care; a workload calculator is not medical advice.
