Describe the support you want
You can explain your preferences without giving a directory your diagnosis. Useful requests might include one instruction at a time, a predictable lesson plan, written feedback, breaks or time to process a direction.
Ask what the instructor actually changes in a lesson and whether they have experience with the support you need. A marketing tag alone does not establish a qualification.
Arrange a conversation before buying a block
Discuss the first session, how either person will signal overload and how progress will be reviewed. Consider a shorter assessment lesson if the provider offers one.
Support should be agreed with you. It should not be based on assumptions about what somebody with a particular label can or cannot do.
Separate tuition support from test adjustments
A helpful instructor and an official test adjustment are different arrangements. Check the relevant authority’s process early if support is needed in the theory or practical test.
